My Story

Design as a way of seeing — and serving — people.

My approach blends empathy with rigor, creativity with clarity, and people with purpose. I believe the best solutions come from listening closely and thinking boldly.

Across healthcare, social impact and education, I've partnered with leaders and communities to reframe complex problems and build experiences — and the teams behind them — that endure.

Brand IIFA — Building Bollywood's Global Stage

Archanaa N Trasy was associated with Brand IIFA until 2007, contributing to the international growth and execution of one of Indian cinema's most prestigious global award platforms across key destinations including London, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, Amsterdam, Dubai and Sheffield.

Archana Trasy

Archana Trasy (Archanaa N Trasy) served as the primary event strategist, executor, and brand manager for the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards from its inaugural year in 2000 until 2007. Working with Wizcraft International Entertainment, she was responsible for expanding “Brand IIFA” globally — managing large-scale operations, international government liaisons, and technical event execution during the awards' foundational years.

IIFA Ceremonies Managed (2000–2007)

Global Brand Expansion

Spearheaded the conceptualisation and rollout of IIFA as an international trademark, promoting Bollywood to diaspora and global audiences across multiple continents.

Event Logistics

Handled global venue bookings, production setups, and international travel logistics for hundreds of Bollywood celebrities and crew members at each edition.

Cross-Border Liaisoning

Coordinated with international tourism boards and foreign governments to secure tax subsidies, local security arrangements, and high-profile promotional campaigns.

Key Operational Challenges

As a prominent brand manager and general manager at Wizcraft International Entertainment, Archana Trasy navigated massive logistical, political, and technical hurdles across each edition.

The Inaugural Milestone

London, UK — 2000

Challenge

Building credibility from scratch. Pitching a brand-new Indian awards ceremony to international bodies was highly difficult.

Resolution

Successfully negotiated the use of the iconic Millennium Dome, convincing mainstream UK media and local authorities to back a massive immigration and logistics plan for hundreds of incoming actors and crew.

Geo-Political Tension

Genting Highlands, Malaysia — 2002

Challenge

The 2002 awards took place under a cloud of intense political friction between India and Pakistan.

Resolution

Coordinated high-level security protocols alongside international tourism boards to guarantee the total safety of high-profile Bollywood delegates amidst sensitive diplomatic environments.

Strict Western Audits

Amsterdam, Netherlands — 2005

Challenge

Venturing into mainland Europe meant adhering to rigid Western labor laws, strict municipal safety standards, and zero-tolerance structural guidelines at the Amsterdam Arena.

Resolution

Managed tight technical timelines for massive stage construction, navigating local union hours and technical certifications vastly different from standard South Asian event operations.

Weather & Scale Obstacles

Yorkshire, UK — 2007

Challenge

Moving the event across multiple cities in Yorkshire instead of a single metropolitan hub complicated transport logistics. Unpredictable cold English weather threatened outdoor red carpets and arrivals.

Resolution

Executed decentralised logistics managing fleet operations across multiple venues, engineering weatherproofed holding zones for talent and production gear.
